Deshaun Watson was out of the game tonight after the QB had a horrific first quarter having thrown an interception and taken a hard hit.

The matchup between the Cleveland Browns and the Indianapolis Colts got heated, primarily for quarterback Deshaun Watson who was being exposed after every play. He just did not show up, primarily in the first quarter, he managed to complete just 1 pass out of 5 attempts. To make matters worse, Watson pushed his luck too far by attempting a bullet pass to Elijah Moore but his pass came up short and the play ended up being intercepted by the Colts.

The quarterback took a hard fall to the ground on a play where he dropped back for a pass and ended up running out of the pocket to get some time and look for a receiver, however, pass rusher Dayo Odeyingbo was quick enough to reach Watson and pushed him to the ground. The quarterback took a hard hit and his head bounced off the field.

Watson was briefly taken out of the game by the medics to make sure he was okay to continue playing or if he ought to be placed in concussion protocol. The quarterback cleared all the tests and was okay to return. However, he did not get back on the field after that. Apart from his head, his shoulder was another point of concern as he continued to do exercises on the sidelines for his rotator cuff.

Deshaun Watson has not lived up to his contractual value this season

Fans were outraged at Deshaun Watson over his performance in the first quarter. His choice of passes has just been bad. The quarterback’s contract appears to be inflated now more than ever. He is being paid $230 million, all guaranteed and the Browns ended up giving first-round picks to get him onboard. He appears to have successfully robbed the Browns in broad daylight.

It’s getting really painful to watch Deshaun Watson throw out there. Last season, it was alright for him to play the way he did considering that he had not played a game for over a year. However, Watson has managed to get worse or stay at that same level as he is nowhere close to what Cleveland had hoped he would be. What makes it worse for Cleveland is the fact that Baker Mayfield is performing at a much higher level than Watson is right now.
