“Wonder how many massages he will be getting in extended offseason” – Browns QB Deshaun Watson set to undergo season-sending shoulder surgery, fans react
Deshaun Watson's contract has been criticized by fans after the QB was declared to be out for the season with a shoulder injury.

Cleveland, fans across the NFL feel for you… The team has once again faced a setback after QB Deshaun Watson‘s MRI results revealed he had a displaced fracture in his right shoulder. The quarterback is set to undergo season-ending surgery on his throwing shoulder and this puts a definitive end to the team’s aspirations of making it to the Super Bowl.
Deshaun Watson’s contract appears to be bloated, and it is clear that the Cleveland Browns acted in haste and put a lot on the line by offering him $230 million, all guaranteed at a time when he was being investigated by the NFL over accusations of sexual misconduct with female masseuses a couple of years ago. Watson served his punishment and ever since he returned to the NFL, he has just not looked the same.

Deshaun Watson has recorded his lowest completion percentage this season at 61.4%. He has been overthrowing the ball, missing targets, and has failed to look like the elite QB he was in Houston. The injury was obviously not Watson’s fault but there is no excuse for his style of play so far this season.
Watson did, however, show glimpses of what he can do against Lamar Jackson’s Ravens last Sunday. He threw for over 200 yards and led the Browns to a much-important victory over Baltimore.
Deshaun Watson’s contract has put the Cleveland Browns in a tough spot cap-wise
The news about the QB’s season coming to an abrupt end frustrated Browns’ fans who called Watson out for having finessed the organization into paying him millions while barely even playing. This contract is already up there as one of the worst contracts in league history and what makes it worse is the fact that there is no optimism or hope that once Watson comes back, this team will make it to the Super Bowl.

Take a look at some of the responses that fans had to this news:
What a bust. Wonder how many massages he will be getting in his extended offseason.

While this season is pretty much over for the Browns, hopefully, once Watson recovers and can play again, the team can live up to its true potential in the next season. The Browns are currently 6-3 for the season and sit third in the AFC North. They still have a marginal chance of making it to the playoffs but going anywhere near the Super Bowl seems difficult as of now.
