“A sham lawsuit” Deshaun Watson’s attorney hits back at new alleged sexual harassment lawsuit against Browns QB

Deshaun Watson is currently completing the 11-game ban by the NFL that he received because of countless sexual misconduct charges. Quite recently, there was another lawsuit filed against Watson regarding sexual misconduct from an anonymous person.
The identity of the person is still unknown as the lawsuit was filed on October 13th. Watson’s attorney has presented against the lawsuit and called it a ‘sham’ as the allegation were baseless and there was no evidence to support them.
The lawsuit alleges that Deshaun Watson forced the anonymous woman to perform oral sex in a hotel room in December 2020. Though the Browns’ QB’s defense claims that the allegations were false and the woman loves Watson.
Deshaun Watson’s legal team also presented screenshots in the QB’s defense that claimed that the woman who filed the lawsuit was texting Watson consistently and when he didn’t reply she filed a lawsuit against him.
“The documents the woman provided reflect that for nearly a year after their massage session together, the woman sent more than 35 messages to Mr. Watson-none of which were answered by Mr. Watson,” Deshaun Watson’s attorney states.
Watson’s legal team has also asked the court to disregard the case by calling it ‘a sham’ and penalize the person who has filed the case.
Deshaun Watson is hit with yet another lawsuit
There were 2 lawsuits filed against Deshaun Watson for sexual misconduct, for which he received an 11-game ban from the NFL. Only two cases remain open now, including the ‘sham’ lawsuit.
Watson’s legal team is pretty confident about this case as they feel their client is not in the wrong and the woman is filing the case just to get some money out of a secret settlement.
“This evidence undeniably establishes that while this may be a case of unrequited love, under no stretch of the imagination is this a case of assault,” The Browns QB’s lawyer stated.
Watson’s attorney posted screenshots of text messages that the mystery woman sent and they included around 35 text messages. Some text messages also revealed that the woman asked to meet the 27-year-old in the same hotel where the incident took place.
The text messages are sexually suggestive. “I have the best head in all of Houston,” she wrote in September 2021, according to the filings.
This is the only lawsuit where Deshaun Watson’s legal team has been able to provide any evidence to prove that their client is not in the wrong and has asked the court to penalize the person who has filed the lawsuit. Although Watson seems innocent according to his attorney, the Browns QB still has to complete his ban and will be available when the Browns face the Houston Texans in December.
