After 18 glorious years, the Aaron Rodgers era in Green Bay has finally come to an end. The superstar quarterback left behind a great legacy that will be remembered forever and most likely not be repeated because such was the greatness of Rodgers.
On Monday, April 24, the Jets finalized a trade for Aaron Rodgers from the Packers which turned out to be a blockbuster one at least for Green Bay. Some fans were happy that finally, they won’t have to see Rodgers in Lambeau Field again because they weren’t all too happy with his off-the-field antiques that included everything from his anti-vaccination rants to holding the Packers hostage to get more money from them.
Despite all that, Pro Football Hall of Fame tight end and Undisputed co-host Shannon Sharpe believes Aaron Rodgers is the best quarterback in Packers history. He said, “[Rodgers] is the greatest Packer ever. I think he’s a lying, condescending, aloof, finger pointing whatever else you wanna say. But you can’t argue with the man’s success on the field.”
In his career, Aaron Rodgers has been the recipient of a lot of awards and records that others can only dream of. Some of them include – Super Bowl XLV, Super Bowl XLV MVP, 4x NFL MVP that include a back-to-back in 2020 and 2021, 10x Pro Bowl, 4x First-Team All-Pro, 2x NFL passing touchdowns leaders (2016, 2020) and NFL 2010s All-Decade Team.
Shannon added, “He’s the greatest Packer ever. When you tell me to judge a player, all I do is talk about is what he did when he played said sports.”

Aaron Rodgers says goodbye to Packers fam as he embarks on his new journey to New York
Aaron Rodgers joines the Packers when he was selected 24th overall in the 2005 NFL draft by the franchise. He spent his first three years as a backup to another Packers legend Brett Favre and got his start in 2008 and the rest is history. He has a record of 147-75-1 as the signal caller for Green Bay.
Leaving the Packers wasn’t an easy task for the 39-year-old who penned down all his emotions in a heartfelt goodbye letter to the franchise and all the fans that supported him and stood by him through thick and thin all these wonderful years.
“I’m not sure it’s possible to fully express the gratitude that I have to the Packers, our incredible fans, the state of Wisconsin, the thousands of players that I crossed paths with, the incredible men and women who work for the organization, and the amazing people who I got to meet along the way,” Rodgers wrote.
Let’s see how the Packers alum performs in New York in the upcoming season. The Jets fanbase expects nothing short of a Lombardi Trophy from the most talented quarterback in the history of the NFL.
