While fans may not find Dez Bryant in the new Madden or on the football field, one will come across his tweets. The 34-year-old veteran of the game doesn’t shy away from making a comment or a prediction. His latest tweet has sparked some debate among NFL fans, as the former Dallas Cowboys man has kept Cooper Kupp out of his top 5 wide receiver list going into the 2023 season.
Bryant has some intriguing picks, but nothing too out of the ordinary. He was replaying a tweet sent out by Fantasy Football analyst Luke Sawhook. Bryant replied back with his list, which, according to him, is not in any order.
He listed Garrett Wilson, Cee Dee Lamb, Stefon Diggs, Ja’Marr Chase, and Justin Jefferson. With his picks, it’s clear that Bryant counts on the new blood and wants them to succeed. However, the biggest surprise on the list, as the fans pointed out, is the exclusion of Los Angeles Rams quarterback Cooper Kupp.

Fans believe Dez Bryant should have included Cooper Kupp in his top 5 receiver list
The exclusion of Cooper Kupp from Bryant’s list has left the fans stunned.
It seems Luke Sawhook already knew his No. 1 pick, which is the New York Jets, Garrett Wilson. Jets drafted him from Ohio State in 2022 as their 10th overall pick. In his maiden season, he rushed for 1100 yards and recorded four touchdowns. He was awarded the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year.
Next is the Dallas Cowboys Cee Dee Lamb. The 24-year-old has been a revelation for the Dallas side since he joined them in 2020. Lamb, in his three seasons, rushed for a total of 3344 yards and recorded 19 touchdowns.
Buffalo Bills Stefon Diggs made it on Dez Bryant’s list. The 29-year-old is the only player who has more than five years of experience in the NFL. But it’s a worthy inclusion, as the three-time Pro Bowler finished his second-best season in terms of yards rushed, as he recorded 1,429 and made 11 touchdowns. While his future is a bit shaky at the moment, he deserves his spot.
The remaining two positions went to former LSU teammates, Justin Jefferson and Ja’Marr Chase. After graduating, they went their separate ways, as Chase joined the Cincinnati Bengals and Jefferson went to the Minnesota Vikings. Moreover, Chase was the fifth overall pick for the Bengals in 2021 and has since recorded 29 touchdowns and rushed for 2501 yards in 29 games. Jefferson, on the other hand, joined the Vikings in 2020 as their 22nd overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. The 24-year-old has, in three seasons, rushed for 4825 yards and 25 touchdowns.
However, fans are right to be a bit skeptical about Cooper Kupp’s exclusion. The 30-year-old veteran who has won the Super Bowl with the Rams should have been on it. Bryant probably left Kupp out based on last season’s performance, which wasn’t too bad. Kupp only played nine games, rushed for 812 yards, and recorded six touchdowns. If Kupp had played all the matches, he might have easily caught up with Wilson and the others. Nonetheless, Dez Bryant’s list is a very good one.
