The rivalry between the Buffalo Bills and the New York Jets is no secret. The fans do not share an inch of space when it comes to cheering for their favourite team. To top it, the teams also share the same ground. At least, Dion Dawkins, the offensive tackle (OT) of the Bills holds a similar position as the fans.
In a recent interview, the OT shared his hate towards the Jets players. Appearing on VladTV, the OT shared that the Jets players do not come to show off their skills, instead, they come to the field just to click pictures.
The OT added:
I hate them, all of them, bro. ... When it comes to sports, there are people that play the sport because they love the sport. And then there's people that play the sport just to try to be cool. I feel like they play the sport to try to be cool. Those are a bunch of dudes that just want to take pictures on Instagram. That's whack.Dion Dawkins stated
The opinion by the OT was nothing but a strong dig at the performance of the New York Jets last season. After Aaron Rodgers injured himself, the Jets lost their rhythm and ended the season with just seven wins and 10 losses. The quarterback crisis was the key problem for the Jets last season. In the coming season, the fans are looking for the comeback of Aaron Rodgers.
Dion Dawkins defended quarterback Josh Allen in the interview
In the interview, Micheal Clemons from the New York Jets was also present. Both were indulged in trash talk when Clemons took a jibe at the Bills quarterback Josh Allen. This certainly triggered Dawkins as he stepped up to defend his quarterback.
Here is what he had to say:
First of all, why are you talking to my quarterback? Don't talk to my quarterback. Stay over there. Don't say nothing to none of my guys. Just stay over there, son. Don't talk to 17. I'm really serious about that. Don't talk to him. Don't say nothing to him at all, right?Dion Dawkins said
Last season, the Bills and the Jets were on the same page with both teams winning a game each. Despite the injury of Aaron Rodgers, the Jets were successful in beating the Bills. In the return game, the Bills succeded in beating the Jets and took the revenge. In the long run, the Bills were more successful than the Jets.
