On Sunday, the Seattle Seahawks led by Geno Smith went against the Joe Burrow-led Cincinnati Bengals in their week 6 matchup. It was a close game, but the Seahawks couldn’t outscore Burrow and the Bengals as they suffered a 17-13 loss. During the game, the Seahawks wide receiver DK Metcalf could be seen showing out his frustration on Cincinnati’s cornerback Cam Taylor-Britt.

In a short video that went viral on social media, Metcalf seemed frustrated with the offensive play and took it out on the Bengals’ cornerback. Metcalf was being covered by Cam Taylor-Britt and when a play didn’t go well, the Seahawks wide receiver took a blatant cheap shot and viciously pushed down the Bengals defender to the ground.

The Seahawks receiver was penalized for the shove and the league might fine him as well.

This is not the first time Metcalf has taken out his frustrations on the opposing players. It has become a habit in the last few years for DK Metcalf. Even the announcer said how the Seahawks have been trying to work with Metcalf on that issue. “This is something they (Seahawks) have been working with DK Metcalf. He accumulates way too many penalties out of frustration,” said the announcer during the broadcast. Check out the video footage attached below.

Nonetheless, Metcalf played WR2 role on Sunday catching 4 passes for 69 yards while averaging 17.2 yards per reception. But he couldn’t help Geno Smith and the Seattle-based football team outduel the Bengals. As a result, the Seahawks suffered a 17-13 loss and fell to a 3-2 record in the ongoing season.

DK Metcalf suffered a hip injury in the Seahawks’ week 6 game

The Seahawks did not have a good result on the field in their week 6 game against the Bengals. In addition, it seemed like Seattle’s pass catcher, DK Metcalf, might’ve suffered a serious injury, but they escaped a massive scare as the talented wideout got back into the game.

Metcalf injured his hip in the game and was listed as questionable to return to the field, but he made a comeback fairly quick. The Seahawks couldn’t have afforded to lose Metcalf for a long time and would be glad that he was able to return to action.

Metcalf has been one of the best players in Seattle in the last few years. This season he has caught 22 passes for 337 yards and 2 touchdowns. Next, he will look to add to those numbers next week when the Seahawks are scheduled to face the struggling Arizona Cardinals in their week 7 game.
