The Miami Dolphins vs. Dallas Cowboys game this week was one of the most important games this season. Both these teams had a record of 10-4 through 15 weeks and were in contention to win the Super Bowl. There were stars all around the field with MVP candidates on both sides. The Dolphins came into the game on the back of a dominant win over the New York Jets, whereas the Cowboys lost their week 15 game against the Buffalo Bills.

The game was close throughout, however, it was the Miami-based team that prevailed, thanks to a Jason Sanders 29-yard FG as time expired. Dolphins’ stars had a great game as QB Tua Tagovailoa threw for 293 yards and one touchdown. Tyreek Hill on the other hand had 9 receptions for 99 yards. The Cowboys’ QB Dak Prescott had a fantastic game as well. He finished the game with 253 yards and 2 touchdowns.

It was a fantastic game of football as two talented teams refused to give any inch to each other. And as a result of that, this game became the most-watched program on television since 1995. The viewership peaked at 31.5 million viewers during the game, which is the most since the mid-1990s. This was FOX‘s best performance for AMERICA’S GAME OF THE WEEK since the year 1995.

The Dolphins will play their next game against the Baltimore Ravens in a potential AFC Championship preview. Cowboys on the other hand will host the Detroit Lions next Saturday. It will be fascinating to see how these two teams perform going forward.

McDaniel said:

With the advent and heavy push of social media, I think it's really hard to ignore the noise, so to speak, or not hear it. I think you're going to hear it ... I thought this is a big win for this team, because it's always big when you do something that internally you know that you're capable of, and when it comes to fruition, it's pretty satisfying.

The Dolphins will now play the Baltimore Ravens in their next game. The Ravens are 12-3 through 16 weeks of the season and have the best record in the league. It will be another massive test for the Dolphins as they will look to match the Ravens’ record on Sunday.
