Mike McDaniel and the Miami Dolphins are in Germany to face the daunting challenge of the Kansas City Chiefs at Deutsche Bank Park in Frankfurt. Ahead of the anticipated clash between the two AFC juggernauts, McDaniel addressed his press conference.

The Dolphins are currently flying high, winning six games from eight this season; naturally, the coaching staff will be in a chipper mood. It reflected upon the 40-year-old’s first sentence when he walked into the press room.

McDaniel walked in and deadpanned:

I know what you guys are thinking; I’m bigger in person; you’re right.

That’s not even the funny part. The German media completely left him out to dry. Either they did not understand what he was implying, or they knew but were just pulling his legs.

Before the 31-17 win over the New England Patriots, McDaniel attended a press conference where he joked about the position of the cameras. He said:

I feel like these cameras' short guy adjustments. Right! You know what I mean. Aren't they usually higher?

Mike McDaniel can’t believe he’s a Halloween costume

It’s the Halloween season, and the best way to celebrate is by dressing up. Players were seen arriving in the stadium before last week’s games dressed in various costumes. From Super Heroes and various anime characters to abstract objects, everything was present.

But the award for the best Halloween costume went to a kid mimicking Mike McDaniel’s infamous running away from reporters skit. During halftime at the Patriots game, he ran to the locker room after seeing the camera crew coming close to him. A short video went viral almost instantly; he was not aware that people were dressing up as him.

Not only that, on Wednesday, NBA team Miami Heat shared a post on X. It showed the Heat’s coach, Erik Spoelstra, dressed as McDaniel, along with his kids wearing the iconic greens of the Dolphins.

The Chiefs game will be an interesting matchup. But it’s a massive disappointment that such a high-voltage game will be played at Arrowhead. If that were the case, it would have seen the return of the former Chief Tyreek Hill to Kansas.

This fixture has not been kind to the South Beach franchise. They last won against the Super Bowl holders back in 2011, as per the Football Database. Since then, they have lost three straight games. Judging by the Chiefs’ poor performance against the Denver Broncos last week, it could prove favorable for the Miami side.
