As they say, good sportsmanship goes beyond the game, it starts with respect. And Miami Dolphins‘ Zach Sieler is the living proof of that. The game against the Baltimore Ravens not only cost the Dolphins a crucial win but also injured linebacker Bradley Chubb in the last five minutes of the game, which resulted in his torn ACL of his right knee.
A clip from that game has emerged on the internet, where defensive tackle Sieler can be seen down on his knees to pray for his teammate Chubb’s recovery after he was given medical attention. HBO has covered the whole picture that will be featured in the seventh episode of the “Hard Knock” reality series.
The moment Sieler started praying for Chubb, down on his knees while he was wiping away his tears, shows football is more like a family. And how deeply the players care for each other. All that Sieler wished at that moment was:
Lord, please watch over Chubb….please lord.Zach Sieler’s prayers
When Chubb fell down and clutched his injured knee, the whole scene became quite emotional as many players got emotional. Outside linebacker Andrew Van Ginkel even told Chubb he loves him, while he was being carted away. After getting medical attention, it was announced that Chubb has been ruled out of this season.
Injuries pile up for the Dolphins ahead of the playoffs
Although outside linebacker Chubb sustained the most serious injury, he wasn’t the only one with an injury. It was later found that cornerback Xavien Howard also sustained a foot injury as he was walking boot on his left foot. Quarterback Tua Tagovailoa shared the pain he got after landing on his shoulder after his last snap.
Apart from these injuries that the Dolphins suffered in week 17, there were also a few before the game. Running back Raheem Mostert had suffered an ankle injury that kept him out of the Ravens game. Tagovailoa had also sustained swelling on his injured thumb after the Cowboys game.
With so many injuries on the team, HBO’s reality series episode is keeping the tracking of the Dolphins’ late-season surgeries. In addition to this, the episode will also feature the cam footage of Tagovailoa on what happens during the practice.
