Super Bowl LVII is just a few hours away! AFC Champions Kansas City Chiefs and NFC Champions Philadelphia Eagles will be face to face and fight with all their might to win the coveted Lombardi Trophy and be crowned the 2023 World Champions. Both teams are loaded with weapons on offense, defense, and special teams. However, the Eagles are the favorites to win the game against Patrick Mahomes, who just won the MVP Award.
Chiefs head coach Andy Reid has come a full circle as he will be facing the Eagles. who he coached from 1998 until he was eventually fired in 2012. He is already a First-Ballot Hall of Fame coach and doesn’t need to prove anything to anyone. Nick Sirianni, on the other hand, will be looking to establish himself as the next great coach in the NFL and not just someone who’s on a ‘free ride’.
The Super Bowl is incomplete without the fan favorite Halftime Show. Last year’s halftime show was star-studded with Eminem, Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, 50 Cent, Kendrick Lamar, and Mary J. Blige. It was ranked among the top 5 greatest halftime shows of all time. But don’t count out this year’s show just yet. Pop superstar Rihanna will be performing the halftime show at Super Bowl LVII.

Rihanna returns to the limelight and will perform at the Super Bowl LVII halftime show
Fans all around the league were elated when it was announced the RiRi was going to perform at the halftime show. This will mark her first live performance in years and Apple Music will be presenting instead of Pepsi, who held the distinction of being the brand ambassador for over a decade. With the entire world eager to watch Rihanna perform live once again, there is one specific individual who is sour at the league’s choice of the artist. And the individual is Donald Trump.
A few people might know why Donald Trump is against Rihanna performing. So let’s refresh your memories. Back in 2018, Rihanna won a court battle against Trump, who served as the POTUS during that time. RiRi’s victory stopped Trump from using her music at his rallies. This definitely was a tight slap on the then-president’s face and their hostility increased in 2020 when the Barbados-born singer spray painted “F**k you Donald Trump” on a car at the Cadillac Ranch in Amarillo, Texas.
Donald Trump being Donald Trump trashed Rihanna on his Truth Social account ahead of her performance at the Halftime Show. Trump responded to a post by Rep. Ronny Jackson: “Without her ‘Stylist,’ she would be NOTHING. Bad everything, and NO TALENT!” The billionaire drop this strong criticism to demoralize the singer hours before she stands on one of the biggest stages in America and performs in front of the entire nation.
Rihanna obviously did not dignify Trump’s tweet with a response as she is focused on her performance. Donald Trump’s Truth Social handle can’t be deleted like his Twitter because he owns the company. Anyway, Rihanna isn’t going to be fazed because a former president said a few things about her on the social media platform he created because other platforms won’t allow him on their site.
Let’s hope Rihanna gives the best performance of her life during the Super Bowl LVII halftime show!
