Former US President and controversial figure, Donald Trump was quick to give his take on Rihanna’s performance halftime show at the Super Bowl. Trump bashed Rihanna’s performance, calling it one of the ‘worst’ halftime shows in Super Bowl history. While these are strong words from Trump, this was on expected lines because of his sour history with Rihanna.
The Barbadian singer and ex-US President share a very bad history and have taken ‘below the belt’ shots at each other in the last few years. It all started when Trump became the US President and started invoking some ‘staunch’ laws. One of them was the ‘Muslim ban’ in 2017, which barred citizens of seven Muslim-majority countries from visiting the USA. Rihanna then took shots at Trump for doing the same.
Just a couple of days ago, Trump slammed Rihanna by saying that Rihanna shouldn’t perform at the halftime show and added that without her stylist, she’d be nothing because she has no talent. After her halftime performance, Trump deemed it an ‘epic fail’ and called it the single worst halftime show in SB history. He also called out her foul language during the show, citing that such language is bad for the country.
“EPIC FAIL: Rihanna gave, without question, the single worst Halftime Show in Super Bowl history — This after insulting far more than half of our Nation, which is already in serious DECLINE, with her foul and insulting language,” Trump wrote on the Truth Social. “Also, so much for her ‘Stylist!’”

Rihanna announces her pregnancy at the halftime show
Rihanna was performing on stage after years and the world was already very excited about it. To elevate the excitement, Rihanna also announced her second pregnancy to everyone’s surprise during the halftime show. She flaunted her baby bump to perfection and at the start of her performance, even rubbed her belly, indicating that she is pregnant once again.
Rihanna’s representatives later confirmed that the pop singer performed in the halftime show while being pregnant, which put an end to all the speculations about the same. She sang many of her hits, including “B**ch better have my money”, “Work”, “Umbrella”, and “Diamonds”.
In the game, the Kansas City Chiefs edged past the Philadelphia Eagles 38-35 courtesy of a late field goal to win their third Super Bowl. Chiefs’ QB Patrick Mahomes, who did exceptionally well despite being injured, was adjudged the Super Bowl MVP for the second time in his career.
