Taylor Swift can’t catch a break, can she? On the one hand, she is busy with her ERAS tour, and on the other, she is steadily weaving her love life with Travis Kelce. The 34-year-old pop star does a great job of juggling between her two lives while under the spotlight and scrutiny of the media and far-right politicians.

Nick Adams, a member of the Republican Party, has a deep dislike for Swift. According to Adams, who introduces himself as Donald Trump‘s favorite author, ever since she started coming to watch the Kansas City Chiefs game and cheer for her boyfriend Travis Kelce, it has dimmed the fun of football.

A few months ago, Adams tweeted that fans should boycott attending football games because the NFL shows more of what Taylor Swift is doing than the actual game itself. Recently, he wrote another tweet targeting the 12-time Grammy winner. He claimed the recent poor form of Kelce is because the Chiefs tight end is dating her. Adams wrote,

Taylor Swift ruined Travis Kelce. It’s sad to see a man who was once considered a lock for the Hall of Fame fall so far. He may never even be a semi-finalist at this rate. Go woke, get bent.

Why do right-wing politicians hate Taylor Swift?

Any true Swiftie would be aware of her beef with a section of people in politics who constantly choose to label her as not living the American way. It’s a hard pill to swallow, considering her concerts contribute a large chunk to boosting the US economy. According to the Washington Post, the ERAS Tour injected $5.7 billion into the country.

Yet Swift often gets ridiculed on and off social media. But why is that? It all began in 2020 when she decided to speak up against the Republican Party candidate for the presidential election, Donald Trump. She was against some of the alleged derogatory policies of the party, which made life hell for women, women of color, and LGBTQ+ community members.

Swift voiced her discomfort in a tweet in May 2020, tagging Trump. She wrote,

After stoking the fires of white supremacy and racism throughout your entire presidency, do you have the nerve to feign moral superiority before threatening violence? When the looting starts, the shooting starts.

Since then, the ‘Cruel Summer’ songstress has been an eyesore for Republican sympathizers. And when she started dating Travis Kelce—another individual the right-wingers dislike for endorsing the left-leaning Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine—all hell broke loose.

It’s unlikely that this spat between opposite forces will witness a rapid conclusion. Besides Adams, there have been several others, like UFC chairman Dana White, who even went as far as claiming that Swift-Kelce is a fake PR stunt.
