“Don’t give the fans FALSE HOPE!”: Shannon Sharpe reacts to Von Miller saying he was close to signing for the Cowboys
Von Miller
NFL team Los Angeles Rams outside linebacker Von Miller was one of the hottest free agents in the offseason. Many teams wanted to bring him on-board. In the end it was the Buffalo Bills who were able to get his services.
However there were some other teams as well who were interested in Von Miller. One of them was the Dallas Cowboys who had started talks with Von Miller and wanted him to form a formidable partnership with linebacker Micah Parsons.
Von Miller to the Dallas Cowboys was an ‘almost done’ deal
Von Miller has now revealed that talks between him and the Dallas Cowboys were not just of the initial types but he was seriously considering joining them. Von Miller has recently posted a picture with Cowboys man Micah Parsons saying – “damn @_micahparsons11 It almost happened.”
This has caused a storm amidst Dallas Cowboys who will feel this is a huge opportunity missed. However NFL analyst Shannon Sharpe thinks different and says that the information posted by Von Miller is not true and he’s giving the Cowboys fans false hope.
“I don’t have a problem with him posting this but it’s not true. You’re giving the Cowboys fans a sense of false hope. This deal was never close. Von Miller is the first defensive player to get two contracts of over a $100 million and the Cowboys were unwilling to give Bobby Wagner $10 million a year,” said Shannon Sharpe.
“Von Miller got six years for $120 million,he got $45 million at signing with $51 million guaranteed, with all the free agents of the Cowboys signed didn’t add up to what Von Miller is going to make! How the h*ll was that going to happen?!”
