Aaron Rodgers was considered by many to be the most talented Quarterback in the National Football League until a young gun by the name of Patrick Mahomes entered the league. Since then there have been debates regarding who’s more talented the much younger Mahomes or the Hall of Fame-bound veteran Rodgers.

The debate continues but looks like noted sports analyst Colin Cowherd has ended the argument after seeing both QBs play the first game of this season after losing their number receivers. Rodgers lost his number 1 weapon Davante Adams who was traded to the Las Vegas Raiders while Mahomes lost his wide receiver 1 Tyreek Hill was traded to the Miami Dolphins.

Rodgers and his Green Bay Packers lost to the Minnesota Vikings while Mahomes led his Kansas City Chiefs to a great win against the Arizona Cardinals in the Chiefs 1st game and then against the LA Chargers in the 2nd.

Aaron Rodgers and the Packers’ loss without Davante Adams seems to be the final argument for Cowherd to decide between these two talented QBs as he said on his show-“So Mahomes loses his top home-run hitter, and there’s no doubt in anyone’s mind that he’ll be just as productive.”

He continued “Aaron Rodgers loses his top receiver, they score seven points in the opening game. Both have offensive coaches, both have excellent organizations, and both have better-than-average offensive lines. I’d argue Aaron Rodgers plays in a much easier division, much easier conference, and has more experience.” 

There is a very long season ahead of us last weeks performances may be all that Cowherd needs to decide but Aaron Rodgers is not a legend for nothing. While both Rodgers and Mahomes are two of the most talented Quarterbacks to ever step foot on a football field when it’s all said and done only then can we decide who was better?
