Jalen Hurts was a bright shining spark last season as he led the Philadelphia Eagles to the Super Bowl. Although the Eagles lost the game, Hurts won the hearts of many through his insane performance. Jacksonville Jaguars HC Doug Pederson used to always admire Hurts’ abilities and was even in charge of drafting him in 2020 when he was with the Eagles. Pederson recently featured in an interview with John Clark of NBC Sports and spoke extensively about the young QB.

Pederson believes that Hurts was the best man for the job and had a great mentality since his rookie year in Philadelphia. Hurts was appreciated for his insane work ethic, leadership abilities, and his dedication to the game. “It’s really no surprise to me the success that Jalen’s having right now and just wish him the best moving forward,” Doug Pederson stated. “But the things that impressed me the most are probably the things you see off the football field. The leadership ability, his work ethic, the way he approaches the game, the way he studies the game, the way he wants to be coached — he wants to be coached hard.”

Jalen Hurts is currently one of the best QBs in the league after Patrick Mahomes. The Eagles QB performed exceptionally last season and surpassed expectations. He’ll be looking to do the same next season and lead the Eagles to another Super Bowl final. Jaguars HC Doug Pederson believes that Hurts is the best guy for the job and wants him to succeed in Philadelphia.

“He’s the right guy for that job and just wish him nothing but great success moving forward,” Doug Pederson stated. “They obviously see the end product on the football field. And he’s a tremendous kid and tremendous talent.”

Jalen Hurts has made the Eagles top contenders in the NFC and will be looking to dominate the division next year as well. Their division also features the legendary Dallas Cowboys who also happen to be their arch-rivals.
