Drake Maye, the quarterback who played college football for North Carolina, took social media by storm. The quarterback has wowed the scouts in the NFL for a long time. He is one of the favorites for first-round drafting in the league, and multiple teams are looking at his situation.
In this context, the recent video of the quarterback amazed the NFL. The quarterback was seen throwing a stellar 83-yard pass that nailed the crossbar. With that being said, there is no denying that it was certainly a display of the arm strength that the quarterback has.
The video that recorded the incident went viral, eliciting a plethora of positive reactions from netizens. Arm strength is one of the most important reasons behind his favorable position in the possible NFL draft.
The quarterback showed immense maturity and strength in his time at North Carolina. He was registered as a 6.4-inch and 230-pound player, an ideal prototype of the NFL.
This season, three college football quarterbacks will have the limelight. Caleb Williams, Jayden Daniels, and Drake Maye. Williams is already linked to the Chicago Bears. His name is continuously making the rounds in the Bears discussion.
Furthermore, there are rumors that the Bears might trade their QB, Justin Fields, and go for Williams. However, at the time of writing, the Bears have not confirmed anything yet. Last season’s Heisman winner, Jayden Daniels, also has high prospects. All of them are considered to be the three draft prospects next season.
Maye can be the third overall draft prospect, believes analyst
ESPN analyst Mel Kiper Jr. has identified one problem with Drake Maye, and it is the rate of interceptions. The QB completed 269 passes in his 425 attempts.
He registered 24 touchdowns and nine interceptions. The last thing could be a problem for the quarterback. That was the sole reason for the analyst to place his third bet on the quarterback.
Maye completed 63.3% of his passes during the season, and his best performance came when he threw for 442 yards and three scores against Syracuse. Still, he has had a few sloppy interceptions, and I wanted to see him clean up those mistakes. He finished with 24 touchdown passes and nine picks. The analyst claimed.
Despite raising concern, the analyst thought highly of the quarterback. He noted that the ability of the quarterback could earn the trust of the scouts.
He looks the part of a big-time NFL signal-caller. He can make every throw with ease. He's accurate on the move and can pick up first downs with his legs. Maye varies his pass speeds really well — he knows when to take a little off to make it easier for his receivers. He has outstanding touch on vertical throws.Continuing further, he added
With that being said, it is to be seen which team drafts the quarterback in the coming time.
