“Ingredients for disaster,” Eagles Insider destroys ‘loser organization’ Cowboys by predicting that the team will tank with QB Dak Prescott at the helm

Predicting how the Dallas Cowboys will perform in the upcoming 2023 NFL season is a bit tricky. They are coming off back-to-back seasons with a 12-5 record and will do well to repeat the same. However, a recent report by an Eagles insider suggests that the Big D will have a disastrous season because of coach Mike McCarthy and quarterback Dak Prescott.
According to the report, the Cowboys have become a looser organization, not reaching the NFC Championship Game since the 1995 season. During that time, several other teams left them behind. Specifically, the New England Patriots, the Green Bay Packers, and even the Denver Broncos.
The Cowboys are now part of an unwanted list of 10,000 days without reaching the championship, along with the Browns, Lions, and Dolphins. Even though they are one of the richest and most profitable sports franchises in the world, winning a trophy has eluded them.
One of the main reasons, the insider claims, is the horrible calls and decisions made by coach Mike McCarthy. Fox Sports Herd’s host, Colin Cowherd, has had enough of McCarthy. According to him, the Cowboys head coach is a very pragmatic and defensive-minded coach. Since the sacking of the offensive coordinator, McCarthy has been calling the shots until they appointed Brian Schottenheimer.
In the meantime, McCarthy has declared that they are trying out some new offensive strategies. The former Packers coach may try to introduce some old tricks from his book that helped Green Bay win the Super Bowl. But one cannot forget that they had future Hall of Fame quarterback Aaron Rodgers.
Dak Prescott is not a top-10 quarterback anymore
Dak Prescott is a quality quarterback, however, the soon-to-be 30-year-old is already starting to lose his edge. Although he tied the previous season in interceptions with 15 and added two more against the 49ers in the playoffs, his fumble during the match cost the Cowboys the game, which ended 12-19.
Numbers don’t lie, and if you look at Prescott’s stats from the past few seasons, you will have a clear picture. Since his ankle injury, Prescott has lost his dynamic running ability, which made him dangerous. Even before that, there were signs he was getting slower.
Since 2020, Prescott has rushed for only 421 yards and scored five touchdowns. If you compare it with Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts, in a six-week span, he had 421 rushing yards and seven TDs. Moreover, there are 24 quarterbacks with better rushing yards than Dak Prescott, according to the Insider.
This is a hard pill to swallow, even for a seasoned Cowboy fan. If they want to improve on the previous two seasons, both Mike McCarthy and Dak Prescott need to have the season of their lives.
