The Cowboys vs Eagles is one of the most historic rivalries in the NFL. It’s one that has lasted over 60 years now and over that time it has only gotten fiercer and fiercer. There have been many notable moments across that span of time like Eagles fans cheering for the injury of Michael Irvin in 1999, Roy Williams’ horse-collar tackle on Terrell Owens that broke his ankle in 2004, and the 2008 blowout wherewith the final playoff spot on the line, the Eagles decimated the Cowboys 44-6.

Saturday’s edition of the storied rivalry once again favored the Cowboys who now have a 72-54 record against the Eagles. The game started very evenly with both teams level on points for the majority of the first half. However an explosion from Dak Prescott put the Cowboys well ahead and by the 4th quarter, the game was basically over. Prescott’s 5 touchdown passes took him to 37 on the season which is a franchise record for Dallas previously held by Tony Romo.

The rivalry ensures that the players have a decent amount of bad blood for each other but for the most part, as athletes, they show each other respect on and off the field. The same however can’t be said for the fans as last Saturday’s Cowboys demolition of Philadelphia left one fan in quite the fighting mood. The caption of the video quite rightly sums it up very well. Two losses for Philly one on the field and the other not so far away from it.
