The New York Jets have been quite busy in the NFL offseason. After making some early signings, the team has now traded Haason Reddick from the Philadelphia Eagles. As things stand right now, the Jets are determined to get over last season’s failure.

The former Eagles’ pass rusher put up decent numbers with the Eagles last season. He totaled 38 combined tackles along with 11 sacks in 17 games. Taking the two-time Pro-Bowler from the team, the Jets shared a clear message that their defense would not allow an inch of space to the opponent attackers.

This is the Jets’ first significant defensive signing. Prior to that, they had made some good offensive signings. As the Jets quarterback, Aaron Rodgers is coming back after a torn Achilles injury, the team will be looking to planning around him. They first added Tyron Smith to the squad. Later, it was followed by including wide receiver Mike Williams in the squad. Both were attacking signings and both were done to bolster the attack of the Jets which was a miss last season.

The Jets first let go of Bryce Huff to the Eagles at a deal worth $51.1 million and then bought Reddick in the squad. It almost seemed like a swap deal from the Jets’ perspective.
