The Philadelphia Eagles made a blockbuster trade during the 2022 NFL Draft day to acquire the Tennessee Titans star wide receiver AJ Brown for a package that included a 2022 first-round draft pick. Furthermore, the Eagles signed AJ Brown to a four-year $100 million contract immediately after the trade. And now, the former Titans star wideout reveals how he felt disrespected by the Titans’ contract extension offer.

During a recent episode of the Raw Room podcast, AJ Brown joined as a guest to talk about his experience with the Super Bowl runner up the Eagles. In that episode, he also broke down his trade details between the Titans and the Eagles.

“They offered me like 16 upto 20 (million per year) with incentives,” said the 2-time Pro Bowl wide receiver AJ Brown. “We was like, no disrespect but don’t disrespect me, bro, I am playing behind Derrick Henry bro, I can go crazy bro, he getting the ball 30 times, you know what I’m saying?”

Furthermore, the star wideout also revealed that he would’ve taken less money to stay in Tennessee because of his daughter but the Titans never moved from their initial offer. “Of course, we ask for like a crazy number, cause that’s the start of the negotiation,” said Brown in a recent episode of the Raw Room podcast. “but my agent knew like what number I would’ve took, I would’ve took 22 (million per year) to stay in Tennessee and it had nothing to do with football like me staying in Tennessee had nothing to do with football. It had everything to do with my daughter.”

In the same episode, AJ Brown also talked about how he felt after finding out the Tennessee Titans agreed to terms with the Eagles regarding his trade. He revealed that he was hurt and wanted to stay in Tennessee.

“I say ‘Bro, I want to be in Tennessee,’ “ Brown remembers telling his agent Tory Dandy. “He’s like ‘Bro, A.J., Tennessee’s not budging. They’re not moving. You told me to do a job. I did the job. It’s in front of you. You’d be a fool not to take this.’ I say ‘F*** it. Let’s do this.’ I get off the phone and I’m crying my eyes out. I’m hurt. I’m hurt. And there’s a part of what I just accomplished ain’t even set in. I’m more hurt than anything.”

But in the end, it looks like it all worked out well in the end for the 25-year-old wide receiver, who went all the way to the Super Bowl with his new team Philadelphia Eagles and looks happier than ever catching passes from his new QB Jalen Hurts.
