“I’m sick and tired,” NFL Hall of Famer Ed Reed slams Washington Commanders for meagre $100k fine imposed on Jack Del Rio
Washington Commanders head coach Jack Del Rio found himself in the firing line from most corners of the media after making a controversial tweet on his official Twitter account. Del Rio compared the January 6th 2021, riot at the U.S. Capitol to the riots of 2020 following the death of George Floyd.
The head coach tried to justify his saying when he was quizzed on the subject during a press conference meeting earlier this week. The Washington Commanders, however, did not back their head coach and imposed a fine of $100k on him, an amount considered to be very little by significant sections of the society.

Ed Reed also brought up Nick Saban’s incident while making the comment on Jack Del Rio
Former Baltimore Ravens’ Ed Reed ripped into the Washington Commanders for imposing such a small fine on the head coach and made his feelings known through his official Twitter account. The 43-year-old went a step further and compared this incident with Nick Saban’s from a few weeks back.
Ed Reed wrote, “Today, im sick and tired! A dust up! 100,000 is not enough, money ain’t nothing to a person who is recycled through coaching. Its always one, first it was Saban now its Jack to just remind US what it is! Man if u coached by him put your pants on! Its simple right and wrong, Wrong.”
“I’m being respectful,” Jack Del Rio had said during the news conference while justifying his comments on the riots at the US Capitol. “I just asked a simple question. Let’s get right down to it: What did I ask? A simple question. Why are we not looking into (the protests), if we’re going to talk about (the Capitol attack)? Why are we not looking into those things?“
