Eli Apple and the Bengals were successful at beating the Bills on their own turf while being clear underdogs before going into the game. The Bengals ended the game with a score of 27-10 and eliminated the Bills from the Super Bowl race.
The Bengals look like strong contenders this year to challenge for the Super Bowl. CB Eli Apple is aware of that and used this new-built confidence on social media to hit back at some of Bill’s players.
Apple is known for his candid demeanor and speaking outlandishly on social media. This time it was no different as he mocked Bills WR Stefon Diggs while taking a jab at Damar Hamlin, who recently suffered a tragic injury and miraculously survived.
Stefon Diggs had a disappointing game against the Bengals and left the field as quickly as possible after being defeated. The Bills WR then took to Twitter to share his views on the situation for which he was being criticized.
“It’s easy to criticize my reaction more than the result,” Diggs tweeted. Apple was quick to reply to the tweet and in retaliation mocked the Bills WR. The Bengals CB replied by saying “Cancun on 3” while putting an emoji that makes a heart sign.
The retaliatory tweet by Apple was also meant as a taunt for Damar Hamlin and social media was shaken after reading the tweet. This was a disrespectful move by Eli at taunting the opposition players. However, he didn’t stop there and even roasted Josh Allen on Twitter.

Apple was feeling brashy after winning against the Bills and took every opportunity to hit back at them. The Bills were struggling throughout the game, this led to players being frustrated. During that frustration, Stefon Diggs was seen shouting at Bills QB Josh Allen from the sideline.
Eli Apple took this opportunity and trolled both Diggs and Allen for having a disagreement during the game. “Someone get them [Josh Allen and Stefon Diggs] in couples therapy,” Apple tweeted. “I’ll pay, on God.”
The Bengals CB had a great time taking shots at the Bills’ players. However, social media didn’t enjoy this behavior, especially when he took a shot at Damar Hamlin, who just came out from the grasp of death.
Eli Apple will be up against the Chiefs and Patrick Mahomes for his next game in the conference playoffs as many people on social media expect the Bengals CB to get humbled during the game.
