Veteran cornerback Eli Apple has finally found a home and looks set to be moving down south as he pens a one-year contract with the Miami Dolphins Tom Pelissero reported. Congratulations to him, but the fun will begin on Monday when he meets with an old nemesis. How will Tyreek Hill welcome the person with whom he had an online spat not too long ago?
Coach Mike McDaniel was looking for a cover at the rear after his starter, Jalen Ramsey, took a knock and was set to be out for some time. It looks like Apple fits the bill, as they gave him a new deal. He played 15 regular-season games in 2022. Miami will be the 27-year-old’s fifth home in seven years. Nevertheless, he would be hoping the past did not come back to haunt him.
On January 2, 2022, Hill and his former team, the Kansas City Chiefs, faced off against the Cincinnati Bengals for a place in the Super Bowl. The game ended 34-31 in favor of the Bengals. But for Apple, the match did not end there. Later that month, he poked fun at beating the Chiefs on Twitter. Naturally, Hill replied, in his own style.
Now the wide receiver and cornerback duo will represent the same team. There’s bound to have some drama when they finally come face-to-face. The NFL fandom was quick to search the archives and dig out old beef.

Fans fear the worst for Eli Apple as he’s poised to become Tyreek Hill’s teammate
Even Hill joined in on the fun as he shared, “Monday practice gonna be fun.” Is water under the bridge? Or maybe the head coach has issued a whip to play nice.
Eli Apple was a 2016 first-round draft pick for the New York Giants. Since then, he has had five career interceptions along with 335 tackles. He has also played for the New Orleans Saints and the Carolina Panthers. In March 2021, he signed with the Bengals. But after his verbal war with Tyereek Hill, he was put on the reserve list. But in March 2022, they decided to extend his stay for one more year, according to ESPN.
During that time at Cincinnati, Apple was the most targeted cornerback on the Bengals team. Now that he has moved to Miami, Dolphins fans will be demanding that he be as good as Jalen Ramsey. The former Rams player is coming off another amazing season with 88 tackles and four interceptions.
