Eli Manning once again had the last laugh against his brother Peyton Manning in the Pro Bowl games. The younger Manning was the official head coach of the NFC team for the 2023 Pro Bowl games, while the older Manning took charge of the AFC side.

The NFL organizes these games as a change of pace for players and to build steam for the Super Bowl. It’s time for a fun and exciting challenge that every participant tries to complete to the best of their abilities. But that doesn’t mean the tournament is devoid of a competitive nature. Not when Eli and Peyton are going against each other.

A short demonstration of how badly both wanted to win the games was when the former New York Giants quarterback taunted Peyton during halftime when the AFC led 26-12. Eli wasn’t too thrilled with the refereeing of the game. He said,

How much did Peyton pay these refs? Ridiculous. What did he give them? Some signed memorabilia?

It was clearly meant as a joke, but there was a bit of tension in the air. In the end, the NFC had a flurry late in the second half of the flag football game to win the overall competition, 64-59.

With it, Eli Manning secured a back-to-back Pro Bowl series win over Peyton Manning. In the 2023 Pro Bowl games, the former Indianapolis Colts and Denver Broncos quarterbacks lost 33-35 to Eli.

It was a nice payday for the NFC players who won the game. They took home a bonus of $80,000, as opposed to the AFC players who earned half of that. Despite facing a lot of backlash for allegedly not being competitive enough, the players were having fun being part of it.

During the Flag Football game in the first quarter, NFC’s quarterback Jalen Hurts threw a pass to Cowboys CeeDee Lamb. Instead of running with it, he saw the Eagles man free and threw the ball back. Hurts tried his best to grab onto it, but he just couldn’t keep hold of the ball. The crowd enjoyed the moment as much as the players themselves.

As the games wrap up, all eyes now turn towards the Super Bowl LVIII in Las Vegas. On February 11, the Kansas City Chiefs will take on the San Francisco 49ers at Allegiant Stadium.
