Daniel Jones had a horrible outing in the New York Giants‘ Monday night football game against the Seattle Seahawks in their week 4 matchup. Jones, who is off to a terrible start to his 2023 NFL campaign, once again played a horrific game behind the Giants’ non-existing offensive line. Daniel Jones threw for multiple interceptions in the game, and one of them left Eli Manning speechless.

During the final minutes of the third quarter, the Giants were trailing by 11 points and were facing a second and a goal from the 5-yard line. Jones, who received the snap from the shotgun position, targeted wide receiver Parris Campbell but was picked off by the Seahawks’ 2023 first-round pick Devon Witherspoon, who returned it all the way for a 97-yard Seahawks touchdown.

Peyton Manning and the former Giants quarterback Eli Manning, who were broadcasting the game for ESPN’s Monday Night Football program, were left speechless because of Jones’ pick-six at a crucial time in the game. “Oh no… Oh no… Oh no.. oh no,” said Eli while scratching his head, baffled by Jones’ interception. That was one of the two interceptions Jones threw in the game. His two interceptions proved to be very costly as the Giants suffered a humiliating 24-3 loss against the Seahawks. In fact, Daniel Jones and the entire Giants offense had a nightmare outing against Seattle’s defense. The Seahawks’ defensive unit had a historic game as they registered 11 sacks, 2 interceptions, and 1 forced fumble, and didn’t allow the Giants to reach the back of the endzone even once in the entire game.

Brian Daboll baffled by Daniel Jones’ pick-six against the Seahawks

The 2-time Super Bowl winner Eli Manning was not the only one who was left speechless by Daniel Jones’ horrendous pick-six against the Seahawks. Even the Giants’ head coach Brian Daboll was left baffled by Jones’ costly mistake.

After the pick-six, Daboll seemingly exchanged some heated words. Furthermore, after exchanging some words with his franchise QB about the pick, the frustrated head coach simply tossed his tablet and walked away.

Later, in the post-game press conference, Daniel Jones took accountability for the pick-six and claimed that he should avoid costly mistakes like that in the future. Jones and the Giants are off to a rough 1-4 start in the 2023 campaign and they won’t be getting a breather anytime soon since the G-Men are scheduled to face two of the best teams in the league Miami Dolphins and the Buffalo Bills in their next 2 matchups.
