“I don’t get the ball. I don’t know.”- WR Elijah Moore gives SURPRISING reaction on his chemistry with Zach Wilson post Jets loss against Patriots

Elijah Moore & Zach Wilson

The New York Jets team faced the New England Patriots on Sunday and went down against their old nemesis by a final score of 17-22. After the game, the player who attracted a number of trolls online was, of course, Zach Wilson. After bearing three interceptions and some post-game comments from him, he was the bane of the jokes on the internet.

Another player on the Jets roster had made some remarks following their most recent defeat that may be a cause of concern. Wide Receiver Elijah Moore seems very unhappy with the limited opportunities he is getting, and the player is clearly not happy with the way his team has treated him.

Moore had earlier expressed regret for being a distraction during the team’s run of success, but he also implied that his problems with the Jets were more significant than he was able to conceal.

Elijah Moore is clearly very frustrated and some of it may be directed right at QB Zach Wilson

The first hint at Elijah Moore’s frustration was seen on October 12 when he tweeted “Not everyone goin see ur vision“, which has led to enough media speculations. Moore had an argument around the same time with coach Mike LaFleur in which the receiver also asked for a trade, he was expelled from the practice field. And now his post-game comments are hinting that the Jets have some internal problems to resolve.

Moore was asked by Athletic’s Zack Rosenblatt about his and Zach Wilson’s chemistry. To this, he had a rather somber reply. He said, “I don’t know, I couldn’t even tell you. I don’t get the ball. I don’t know.” Clearly, the QB-WR duo needs to work on some issues here. The lack of passes that Elijah Moore received during their game against the Patriots will surely add some truth to this.

In his first 14 career games, Elijah Moore had an average of 3.9 catches and 48.4 yards on seven targets (with five touchdowns). Moore has four catches for 64 yards on nine targets in four games since Wilson took over for Joe Flacco.

Moore was also asked about his not-so-secret trade prospects, but he made no definitive statements. In addition, Elijah said in response to the commotion that has surrounded him recently that he was hopeful his words didn’t cause so much of a distraction for his teammates.

After a dull performance the previous season, the New York Jets have improved substantially well in the current season. Their gameplay has improved a lot, and most importantly, their investments in the players are finally paying dividends. Keeping that in mind, these stumbling blocks should be trodden carefully.

The Jets will face Buffalo Bills, who are in exceptional form with a 6-1 record, on Sunday.
