Jets WR Elijah Moore frustrated rant on Twitter for lack of targets against Packers
While this Sunday saw New York Jets seal a comfortable win over Green Bay Packers with a final score of 27-10, it looks like Jets WR Elijah Moore was not in a celebration mood.
The New York Jets are having a splendid season with 3 consecutive wins. The New York Jets are feeling elated and on top of their game and must be feeling good about themselves. Except that not all the players at Jets are having a merry time in this phase.
Moore’s usage this season has been reasonably lower than his previous season’s outing, especially in the past few weeks. And perhaps Sunday was his all-time low performance, where he saw a total of zero targets accomplishments.
“I support all my teammates”: Elijah Moore bares his heart out amidst Twitter rant

ESPN’s Rich Cimini made a note of this performance and expressed his own confusion about the stat on Twitter. And in no time Elijah Moore too replied to that tweet saying,
“If I say what I really wanna say…I’ll be the selfish guy…we winning. Grateful! Huge blessing! All I ever wanted. Butter sweet for me em but I’ll be solid. So I’ll just stay quiet. Just know I don’t understand either.”
If anything else, the 22-year-old was right in his position to rant there. He was able to create the hype in his rookie year and the frustration is understandable when he is unable to replicate that this season.
With lesser chance and the natural competitive atmosphere in the Jets squad, it’s quite easy for the young man to feel clueless, especially when he is unable to provide any impact on games.
After the honest rant from his side in reply to Cimini, Elijah Moore was quick to provide clarity that all’s good in the hood. He expressed support to his teammates and stopped any media frenzy to stir up.
NFL is surely a beautiful game with lots of ups and downs. Winning matches for the team makes the team and fans happy, but also, even after winning some games, it frustrates some of its players.
Personal goals are a reality in team sports if one has to keep on enjoying the perks that an athlete is bestowed in their short shell life. If anything else, Elijah Moore was attesting to that bitter truth.
New York Jets will be going against the Broncos next Monday in hopes of continuing their winning streak.
