Aaron Rodgers‘ massive transfer to the New York Jets shocked the entire NFL world. Many started to assume his future with the new team and debated over his success and legacy.
Rodgers moved to New York for a change of scenery. The former Green Bay Packers QB won everything with his old team and now wants to dominate in another conference altogether.
While there are many who believe Rodgers won’t be great in New York, Emmanuel Acho believes otherwise. The NFL analyst recently made an astounding statement and compared Rodgers to one of the best NFL players of all time.
Acho believes Rodgers’ tenure with the Jets will be similar to Tom Brady‘s outing with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. In essence, Brady won the Super Bowl in his first season with the Bucs. The FS1 analyst believes the same is possible for the 39-year-old due to various reasons. The first reason he pointed out was that the Jets have an incredibly young squad, and that, added to Aaron Rodgers’ experience, can be highly beneficial for them.
“When I look at Aaron Rodgers going to the Jets, and Tom Brady going to the Bucs at this junction in time. I say to myself wait a second that should happen,” Emmanuel Acho stated on ‘SPEAK’.

Aaron Rodgers has massive expectations thrust upon him
When one of the greatest quarterbacks of this generation joins a team, there are massive expectations that he should meet. The same is happening to Aaron Rodgers, who moved to the Jets.
The Jets have never made the playoffs in 23 years, and Rodgers has arrived to change that. There are many analysts who believe that the veteran QB will easily help them win the AFC East, which is arguably the toughest division in the NFL.
Additionally, Rodgers also needs to win a Super Bowl with the Jets to maintain his legacy and go down as an all-time great. With so much riding on this move, it’s safe to assume that the 39-year-old will be under increasing pressure.
However, if Aaron Rodgers decides to get back to his old form, he can easily make the Jets competitive yet again. The New York-based team has exceptional young talent that will grow each year.
