Emmanuel Acho believes it’s ‘Super Bowl or bust’ this season for Joe Burrow’s Bengals amid the competitiveness in the AFC

It will be hard for the Bengals and Burrow considering the fact that the AFC is the toughest division this year, according to Acho.

Emmanuel Acho, FOX Sports 1 Speak’s host, spoke about who could be the favorites this year to reach the Super Bowl. During the show, he declared that “it’s Super Bowl or bust for the (Cincinnati) Bengals.” He claimed that the AFC is the toughest division this year and will remain so for at least a couple more seasons. So in order for Joe Burrow to win the Super Bowl, 2023 has to be the season.

Acho argued that “In the short span of Burrow’s career, he has gone to a Super Bowl and two AFC Championships. You never know when you are gonna go back.” It is true that reaching the Super Bowl, let alone winning it back-to-back seasons, is easier said than done.

Not everyone can replicate what Tom Brady and Joe Montana achieved in their era, winning multiple Super Bowls. There are countless players who have never even made the division playoffs in their careers. So it’s not always plausible to believe that if you fail to reach the championship game this season, you will get there next time.

Can Joe Burrow lead the Cincinnati Bengals to another Super Bowl?

The Bengals reaching the Super Bowl depend on their performance. As previously mentioned, the AFC will be the toughest division to get out of. According to Emmanuel Acho, eight of the top ten highest-paid quarterbacks are in the AFC this time.

Right from the start of the season, they have had strong opponents. In the first game, they will face the Deshaun Watson-led Cleveland Browns. Next, they will face Lamar Jackson’s Baltimore Ravens. Both are strong opponents with a strong offensive line.

Moreover, Sean McVay‘s Rams will be no pushovers, as they are in the same boat as the Bengals. All of these teams will be equally hungry to qualify for the divisional playoffs.

The Bengals, however, have the duo of Joe Burrow and Ja’Marr Chase, who have been together since their college days. It’s not surprising that these two have created a telephonic connection between themselves. Moreover, Tyler Boyd and Tee Higgins will also be there to support Burrow. In defense, Tarell Basham, Sam Hubbard, and D.J. Reader are like individual walls.

Acho is correct to assume that Burrow and the Bengals need to win the Super Bowl this year, or, who knows, they may never get another shot.
