The former NFL player and analyst Emmanuel Acho has a suggestion for the Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow. The 32-year-old former linebacker wants Burrow to start his NFL season on the first week of the tournament.

From the sets of the popular analytical show ‘SPEAK on FS1’, Acho said that Burrow can’t afford to sit on the bench as the role and importance of quarterbacks are different from any other players. Hence, it will be good for both Burrow and the team if he starts early.

“I think Joe Burrow should step back on the field. I agree with Joey that players hold out, but in my mind quarterbacks are different than players from any other positions,” he said.

The development came after the star quarterback injured himself in a practice session with the Bengals. The team management as a result had a tense atmosphere these past few weeks. However, Burrow was recently spotted in the team’s practice and he is recovering to his full health.

Since being drafted into the Bengals squad, Burrow has been the center of attraction for them. He led his team to win the AFC division championship in 2021. He poses a fabulous record against the Kansas City Chiefs and by winning three out of the four games against the team. His head-to-head record is too good against the Chiefs’ star quarterback and MVP winner Patrick Mahomes

Considering all these facts, analysts have started picking up as one of the best quarterbacks ahead of the season. Skip Bayless even said Burrow is more creative and consistent than Mahomes.

Burrow was simply phenomenal last season. He finished his season with a record of 4,475 yards, 35 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions in 16 games. He had a passer rating of 100.8. Very close to the second-best quarterback Jalen Hurts in the regular season.

In addition to this, Burrow-led Bengals were successful in outplaying the Kansas City Chiefs, last season. Burrow’s performance played a pivotal role in terms of defeating the Chiefs, but also had to suffer the first loss against them in the pivotal championship game. Individually also, the player had an edge over the reigning MVP and Super Bowl winner Mahomes.

The Cincinnati Bengals will start their 2023 NFL season against the Cleveland Browns. Will Burrow be starting in week 1 itself? Only time will tell.
