After months and months of trade rumors, the Baltimore Ravens finally tied Lamar Jackson to their franchise for the next 5 years with a massive deal in the 2023 off-season. The Ravens also spent significant money on the wide receiver position as they signed Odell Beckham Jr. to a massive deal. Amidst this, Fox Sports analyst Emmanuel Acho claims that the Ravens QB is now out of excuses as he has many talents surrounding him.
During a recent episode of the Fox Sports show, SPEAK, the former Philadelphia Eagles linebacker Emmanuel Acho said Lamar Jackson needs to show results in the upcoming season.
“All eyes are on this player, Lamar Jackson this upcoming season. We already know how good he is individually, an unanimous MVP. But now the talent around him is starting to be historically good, at least historically deep,” said Acho. “Lamar’s out of excuses. In my mind, he has gotten everything that he wanted. No more excuses.”
Emmanuel Acho noted that Jackson has five first-round draft picks in the wide receiver position to help his passing game. The Ravens added Odell Beckham Jr. in the off-season and they drafted WR Zay Flowers in the first round of the 2023 NFL Draft. Furthermore, they also have Nelson Agholor, Laquon Treadwell, and Rashod Bateman (all three are former first-round picks) in their roster.
Moreover, Acho also noted that the Ravens have an All-Pro tight end Mark Andrews and a talented running back J.K. Dobbins on their squad. The Ravens really have one of the strongest offensive squads in the league and if Jackson stays healthy for the entire season, they have a shot at winning the Super Bowl in 2023.

The Ravens got better in the 2023 off-season
Back in May, the Baltimore Ravens put an end to the Lamar Jackson saga after they signed the All-Pro QB to a 5-year deal worth up to $260 million. That deal made Jackson the highest-paid NFL player of all time.
Now that Jackson has no doubts about his future in Baltimore, he could play with a free mind and play up to his full potential. Besides, the Ravens worked well in the off-season and added some elite talents to help out their franchise QB.
The Baltimore-based football team signed free agent receiver Odell Beckham Jr. to a one-year deal worth up to $18 million. Additionally, they also added the highly-touted wideout Zay Flowers in the 2023 NFL Draft.
The Ravens’ general manager Eric DeCosta worked masterfully in the off-season to keep Jackson in Baltimore and gave him two elite offensive weapons. Jackson has a better squad this year than in 2022 and will look to lead them to a Super Bowl victory.
