In the short span of time that Rodgers has had in the Jets camp, he has been working hard to help his teammates get used to his methods.

The debate is on whether Aaron Rodgers will be able to transform the fortunes of the New York Jets in the 2023 season. If he is still capable of putting up numbers during his Green Bay Packers days. He is, however, trying to imprint his experience and wisdom on new teammates in the offseason.
Emmanuel Acho, while debating who will be on the 2023 MVP list, spoke highly of Rodgers’ commitment to the Jets. It’s theirs to see, as wide receiver Garrett Wilson pointed out: “Being on the same page with the dude (Rodgers) that’s slinging you the ball is really valuable. Being around him, I can see that now.”
Rodgers is a perfectionist on the field, and he wants that from his team as well. So that could be the reason why he chose to attend every practice session since his move back in April. It looks like Rodgers is looking to bring the Packers’ flare to the Jets, and he’s even moving out of his comfort zone to achieve steady improvement.
Acho pointed out that Rodgers is not one of those players who would show you the ropes. “Aaron Rodgers really does do the bare minimum outside the white line,” said Acho on FOX Sports Speak. “He shows up and does what he needs to do, but does it at an MVP-caliber level.” He also pointed out that “cultivating different relationships” matters a lot. Rodgers making an effort to familiarize himself with his new squad and coaching staff will be beneficial.
Understanding the players around you and knowing their strengths and weaknesses can help the quarterback, dictate play better on matchday. So it’s no surprise Rodgers is making full use of the offseason.

Aaron Rodgers is going out of his comfort zone to understand his New York Jets team better

Aaron Rodgers brings years of winning mentality to the New York Jets camp. However, to learn from the best, the players around them need to be on the same page. It has only been two months, and according to Receivers coach Zach Azzanni, only 10% of Rodgers’ calling had been installed in the receivers through the offseason. While talking to USA TODAY Sports, Azzani revealed that Rodgers wanted to make adjustments during a play and made a signal. Apparently, the receivers were confused and asked Azzani what it meant. But he wasn’t aware of it either.
What will help Rodgers’ ideas and methods is the inclusion of former teammates Allen Lazard and Randall Cobb, whom the Jets signed recently. Lazard said, “It’s more that we’ve got to adjust to him.” He is trying his best to make the younger players like Breece Hall get used to Rodgers’ calls and methods.
Aaron Rodgers, when asked about how the training was coming along, said, “The guys pick it up good.” He also mentioned that he was testing them ” on signals, cadence, and alignments.” When he sees any area that needs improvement, he will talk it over.
Rodgers is busy outside of the field as well. He and his Jets teammates are attending various events to bond better. They were present during the New York Rangers’ NHL playoff sixth match against the New Jersey Devils. Later, they cheered for the New York Knicks’ second-round series opener against the Miami Heat in the NBA Playoffs. Apart from these, Rodgers has gone to a few dinners with several Jets teammates.
