Another year presents another chance for Dak Prescott to prove that he’s one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL. The 29-year-old will be entering his eighth season as a professional footballer, hoping to win the Super Bowl this time. Prescott will be looking to bounce back in style with back-to-back underwhelming seasons under his belt. In the meantime, Emmanuel Acho has some words of advice for the two-time Pro Bowler.

In the latest episode of Fox Sports 1’s Speak, Acho revealed what he expects from Dak Prescott going into the 2023 NFL season. “I don’t care if you (the Dallas Cowboys) lose the playoff game,” said Acho, reminding Prescott,” just don’t be the reason your team loses it!”

Acho brought the Buffalo Bills and Josh Allen into the conversation. He gave the example of the Bills vs. Kansas City Chiefs match, which Allen and co. lost. However, the former NFL cornerback turned analyst argued it wasn’t Allen’s fault that the Bills lost the match; he gave it his all, and the Chiefs were just better on the day.

Dak Prescott can have the best season of his career says Emmanuel Acho

Upon dissecting some of the Cowboys’ games, it becomes evident that Dak Prescott has encountered some unfortunate moments with fumbles. However, it is crucial not to overlook the significant contributions Prescott makes in driving his team forward. While the Cowboys are often characterized as a defense-heavy team, their offense must step up and provide adequate support to their quarterback in order to maximize their potential.

Besides the latest warning by Acho, he previously backed Prescott to have the best season of his life. “Dak Prescott will have the best year of his career this year,” said Acho on Speak, claiming that Prescott will cross the 5000-yard mark as well. He suggested that with the likes of Cee Dee Lamb and Brandin Cook backing him up, the Cowboys will dominate the NFC.

The NFC will be the weakest division this year, as eight of the ten best-paid quarterbacks are in the AFC. Apart from Dak Prescot, Eagles Jalen Hurts will duke it out for a playoff birth. Incidentally, last year the Cowboys had a 100% record against Philadelphia, even though Prescott missed out on five games due to hurting his hand.

Earlier, during an interview, Prescott revealed that he had been doing well and had fully recovered. He will be looking to go past the playoff hurdle this year. However, to achieve that, he needs to work on his interceptions. Prescott had the worst stats in terms of opponents cutting his passes last year.

If Dak Prescott can manage to improve his game slightly and use his teammates better, the Cowboys may have a chance, as Skip Bayless predicted.
