“Loser mentality” – Emmanuel Acho ‘trashed’ on social media for suggesting Caleb Williams to sit out rest of the year after USC’s 2 straight losses

The USC Trojans came into their game against the Utah Utes on Saturday on the back of a shocking 28-point loss against Notre Dame. The Trojans were supposed to take care of Utah, but they lost the game in stunning fashion. The Utes came into USC’s home ground and pulled off a two-point win. With that loss, the Trojans slipped to 6-2 and are potentially out of playoff contention for this season.

The Trojans’ star QB, Caleb Williams, had his worst game against Notre Dame, throwing three interceptions. Although the QB fared better against the Utes, he still wasn’t able to lead his side to victory. Williams finished with 256 yards and no touchdowns against Utah. Former NFL player and current Fox Sports analyst Emmanuel Acho believes that Williams should sit out the rest of the season as the title hopes of USC are already in the bin.

With National Championship hopes gone, Caleb Williams should consider sitting out the rest of the season. The Heisman is a long shot, CFB Playoffs are even less likely, and he won’t play in the bowl game. The risk of playing FAR outweighs the reward. Business decision.

Williams won the Heisman Trophy this year and will look to do the same this year as well. For that to happen, the QB will have to go against Acho’s advice and play the rest of the season.

After a shocking loss to the Utah Utes on Saturday, the USC Trojans are out of the playoff contention. Star QB Caleb Williams had a subpar performance against Utah. Fox Sports analyst Emmanuel Acho tweeted that Williams should sit the rest of the season and not worry about the Heisman Trophy.

Fans on social media roast the former NFL player for suggesting this and called out Acho for having a “loser mentality.” Williams won the Heisman last year and is the projected No. 1 overall pick of the 2024 NFL Draft. Acho played in the NFL for three years. He was drafted in the sixth round of the 2012 NFL Draft and was a journeyman. After retiring he joined the media industry as an analyst.
