Ever since Travis Kelce revealed the story about his failed attempt at giving his number to Taylor Swift, the Kansas City Chiefs‘ tight end has been the talking point in the NFL world. Recently, Fox Sports reporters Erin Andrews and Charissa Thompson hyped up Kelce while pleading with the pop artist to go on a date with him. Erin and Charissa hyping up the tight end was misinterpreted by some fans which led to the duo clarifying their statements.

“Somebody tweeted us, and I don’t know if you saw it, being like, ‘Don’t be sad Travis, especially when you have Erin and Charissa throwing game at you,’” Andrews said in the recent episode of her podcast ‘Calm Down with Erin and Charissa’. “We are not throwing game at him.”

Erin’s co-host Thompson agreed with the statement and even said that Kelce is like a brother to them at this point. “He’s like our brother at this point, my God,” said Charissa Thompson. 

Previously, on Thursday’s episode of their podcast, Erin and Thompson discussed Kelce’s failed pursuit of the Grammy Award-winning singer Taylor Swift. Both of them advocated for Swift to go on a date with the Chiefs’ star tight end.

“Taylor, I don’t know what you’re doing in your life right now besides rocking the world. Please, try our friend Travis,” Andrews said according to The New York Post. “There is no one who would give you a better time than this guy.”

NFL world wants Taylor Swift to date Travis Kelce

Erin Andrews’ statements about hyping up Kelce were misinterpreted by some fans and they were forced to deny “throwing game” at Kelce. Nonetheless, this duo is just one among many that have advocated for Taylor to date Kelce so far.

The New England Patriots‘ iconic tight end Rob Gronkowski also wanted Swift to date Kelce while the Buffalo Bills signal-caller Josh Allen was bummed Swift said no to the Chiefs player.

As of right now, there is no ‘love story’ blossoming between Swift and the Chiefs TE. There are no signs that the “Blank Space” singer will be Travis Kelce’s girlfriend any time soon.

On the sporting side of things, Travis Kelce would now be focused on helping the Chiefs defend their crown in the upcoming season. Their 2023 campaign is set to begin with a preseason matchup against the New Orleans Saints this weekend.
