The Sugar Bowl on Monday was broadcast by ESPN. It was a game between the number two seed Washington Huskies and the number three seed Texas Longhorns. The Huskies won the game 37-31 and qualified for the CFP Championship game. However, the game came under scrutiny for a very bizarre reason and the network ESPN was the center of attention.

A video of people strolling down Bourbon Street in New Orleans during the second half of Washington’s 37-31 semifinal victory over Texas featured a woman removing her top to reveal her breast. It was a brief moment that was broadcast by ESPN. The network received a lot of backlash over the video and it was forced to issue an apology for it.

It isn’t an unexpected sight at Bourbon Street, but it made it on the air to a broadcast watched by a massive audience, which was unexpected, to say the least.

The Huskies and the Longhorns played a terrific game as it went right down to the wire. Washington eventually came away with a victory and will now face the Michigan Wolverines in the title game.

Huskies opened the scoring, but the Longhorns were right them as they kept coming back. After the first half, the score was tied, 21-21. However, the Huskies pulled away in the third quarter. The Longhorns though, had a chance to win the game, but they failed to convert offensively on the last possession of the game and lost the encounter, 37-31.

Huskies’ HC Kalen DeBoer said:

You love seeing a team come through and find a way to win. The defense had to stay out there and play every down until the very end. So proud of the resiliency and finding another way to win a football game.
Kalen DeBoer told reporters

The Huskies’ QB Michael Penix Jr. had a fantastic game as he threw for 430 yards and a couple of touchdowns. Longhorns’ QB Quinn Ewers wasn’t far behind as he racked up 318 yards and a touchdown.
