Tom Brady was honored by the New England Patriots on Sunday for his immense contribution to the franchise’s dynastical run since the start of the 2000s. He won six Super Bowls and 3 MVPs with the Pats in his 20-year stint. There was another team where Brady created immediate impact and won his seventh and final Super Bowl.

Brady signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at the beginning of the 2020 season. In his first year with the team, he guided the Bucs to a Super Bowl victory over the Kansas City Chiefs and was named the Super Bowl MVP. He threw his last TD pass of his career to Bucs TE Kyle Rudolph earlier this year. Rudolph recently revealed that Brady had an empty locker room beside him, where his fellow teammates would keep the things they wanted Brady to sign.

“Tom had an empty locker next to him. I would look over there and every day, guys would put helmets, jerseys, pictures, footballs, all the stuff they wanted Tom to sign for them” Rudolph said. “There’d be notes on the stuff, a post-it note on a football—‘Sign this for Jimmy, it’s his birthday.’ At the end of the day, almost every day, he’d sit there and sign everything.” He also praised Brady’s treatment of everyone in the organization, from the owners to the janitors.

Brady last played in the NFL against the Dallas Cowboys in last season’s Wild Card round. He and the Bucs suffered a brutal loss in that game and Brady decided to retire from the NFL shortly after the game. Brady is widely regarded as the best quarterback of all time and he is also the most winningest QB in the history of the NFL.

Tom Brady had a lot of success in his 20 years with the New England Patriots. He was the centerpiece of the greatest dynasty in NFL history. Together, they won six Super Bowls. Brady also won the NFL MVP trophy three times during that stint. The Pats honored their favorite son at halftime during their first game of the season against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Brady was emotional throughout his speech as he thanked everyone that was part of his journey in New England. “This is an incredible celebration for me, for our family, for my teammates, for all of us to come back and thank you guys, for what you’ve done for us,” He said. “I was so fortunate to be drafted here two decades ago — 23 years, to be exact — not even knowing where New England was on the map. And not that we put it on the map, but I think a lot more people in the U.S. know where the New England Patriots play.”

Brady retired from football earlier this year. Since then he has been expanding his business as he recently became a part of the Las Vegas Raiders’ ownership group. He also became a minority owner of the Birmingham City FC in England. He is reportedly dating Russian model Irina Shayk as he’s divorce with ex-wife Gisele Bundchen was finalized in October last year.
