Rob Gronkowski is arguably one of the best tight ends to have ever graced the gridiron. If terrorizing opposing defenders was his favorite thing to do on the pitch, leading a fun and boisterous off-the-gridiron was probably his other favorite pass time.
The former Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end who shares a very close relationship with legendary quarterback Tom Brady, is known for hosting amazing parties and for being a party animal, who loved to socialize engaging in various social activities at the same time.
To aggravate this known fact, Gronkowski’s former New England Patriots teammate, Jake Bequette shared a story to elaborate on how much the tight end actually partied even during his professional career. Bequette revealed that Gronk would actually go all the way up to Boston in order to party during the offseason, and would get off at the Patriots’ training facility in Foxborough instead of returning to his house.
Rob Gronkowski had a habit of laying on the training table after having partied the previous night

“We all had these key fobs that gave us 24/7 access to the Patriots’ facility there in Foxborough, and during the offseason, Gronk would go out all night with his boys in Boston. Stay up till three or four in the morning, whatever it was, and have his crew drop him off at the Patriots facility,” Bequette recently recalled on “Prime Time with Alex Stein.”
Bequette claimed that Gronkowski would just lie on the training table at night, only to be discovered the next morning by the team trainers who got into the building. The trainers, however, would never wake him according to Bequette but instead shot an IV into his arm.
“So then, like an hour or two later when the trainers would come in to start their workday, they’d come in there and see Gronk just sprawled out on the training table, just fast asleep. They would go over there, they wouldn’t wake him up, they would roll up one of his sleeves and you know, stick an IV in his arm,” Bequette said.
Gronkowski spent nine seasons at the Patriots before announcing his retirement for the first time at the age of 29, citing physical and mental health issues. However, he returned in 2021 after a year-long break to join hands with Brady at Buccaneers.
Rob Gronkowski’s parents are Gordon Gronkowski and Diane Walters. He announced his retirement from the sport for the second time in his career last year in June, after having won the Super Bowl title with the Buccaneers in 2021. During his esteemed career, the tight end won a total of four Super Bowl titles including numerous personal awards, even after partying this hard during the offseason.
