It has been a dream start for the Dallas Cowboys side in the 2023-24 NFL season. When some of the other so-called favorite NFL teams were spotted limping at the start of the season, the Cowboys thrashed their opponents by huge margins. In their first encounter against the New York Giants, the Cowboys won by a margin of 40-0. Defensively, they were too good.
In the second game vs. the New York Jets, the Cowboys had a resounding victory with a margin of 30-10. The Jets faced Dak Prescott-led Cowboys without their star quarterback Aaron Rodgers and they had no answer against the tremendous footballing display that the Dallas provided on the field.
The Cowboy’s side were so good in their first two games that Prescott, their star quarterback, did not have to show his class. In the first game vs. the Giants, Dak was average. In the second game against the Jets, he was better, but that was nowhere close to his best form. Hence, it is expected that the true colors of Dak are yet to come.
In this context, analysts are smelling something big for the Cowboys this season. Some of them are hoping that the Cowboys will finally end their more than 28-year-old trophy drought this season. The latest to join this bandwagon is James Jones of the ‘SPEAK’, who predicted a possible Super Bowl win for the Dallas Cowboys.
“I am telling this that the Cowboys’ fans will be smiling because this team is on the verge of winning the Super Bowl. The only thing that is holding them from winning the Super Bowl is injuries,“ Jones predicted.
“If some crazy type injuries happen that’s the only thing that is holding them back from winning the Super Bowl. We have seen the defense. They only gave up 10 points in two games,” the analyst added.

Cowboys defense led by Micah Parsons is to be marveled at
It is true that the Cowboys showed a fantastic defensive display in two games. In the first game, they had the numbers of the Giants. The Giants were unable to clinch a single point. Against a powerful team like the Jets (at least on paper) the team only gave up ten points.
The credit for the brilliant display goes to Micah Parsons. He had four solo tackles against the Jets. In addition to this, he had two sacks. In the first game, the player had two solo tackles, one assist tackles, and one sack. His brilliant defensive display helped the team to win the game.
The Cowboys will face the Arizona Cardinals in week 3.
