Aaron Rodgers said back in February that he wants to play for the New York Jets after emerging from his darkness retreat. The Packers were more than happy to oblige and move on with the 2020 first-round pick Jordan Love as their new quarterback.

However, the trade still hasn’t gone through, and both the Jets and the Packers seem to reach a stalemate in the negotiations. According to some rumors, Green Bay wants a clean break from Rodgers and has zero intentions of giving any percentage of his massive contract. Rodgers still remains to be neither here nor there for the upcoming season.

Amid all this, one fan on Twitter seems to have gotten extremely frustrated with the Aaron Rodgers trade talks and has made a vow which is extremely funny and entertaining. The woman named Sam, who goes by the handle @sammwichh, vowed that she will tweet “Aaron Rodgers and a dog that looks kind of like him every day until he’s traded.”

A woman of her word, Sam has been posting images of 4x NFL MVP every day with a lookalike dog. She is currently at day number 11 and is still going strong. She actually found pictures of dogs that somewhat look like Rodgers, which are extremely uncanny and way too funny. Fans on Twitter are absolutely loving her tweets and have to wait in agony for the daily comparison.

Will Aaron Rodgers become a Jet?

The Jets made a lot of moves in the offseason by adding weapons to the offense. New York believes they are just one quarterback away from winning the Super Bowl. The Packers, on the other hand, drafted Jordan Love to take over the reins, and he has spent the last three seasons on the bench. No way he was sitting this one out as well.

However, CBS Sports said the two teams are in a sort of ‘Cold War’ with neither of them willing to take a hit while trading for Aaron Rodgers. The negotiations have no deadline as such, but they need to make one since the draft is just a few days away. After that, every team will start their offseason practice and Rodgers will also be in a hurry about whether to stay in Green Bay or move to the Big Apple.

Additionally, the Packers want the Jets to include a 2024 first-round pick in any deal they offer because Rodgers is a 4x NFL MVP and one of the best quarterbacks in the league. However, while the Jets see the value in Rodgers, they are also aware that he will be 40 years old in December and will most likely play just one season before he calls it a career.
