“We are heartbroken”: Cowboys on Marion Barber’s death
What came as a devastating piece of news, Marion recently left the mortal world. It came as an absolute shocker as the talented footballer was only 38 years old. The Cowboys stated that they were left “heartbroken by the tragic death.” ABC informed that Marion battled mental health issues after his career ended.
“Marion was an old-school, hard-nosed football player who ran with the will to win every down. He had a passion for the game and love for his coaches and teammates,” the Cowboys said in a statement. However, netizens were not pleased with the way many outlets reported Marion’s death.
ABC was bashed on Twitter for an insensitive Tweet on Marion’s untimely demise. “Marion Barber III, the former Dallas Cowboys running back who scored plenty of touchdowns without recording a 1,000-yard season, has died, the team said Wednesday. He was 38,” ABC had Tweeted.
