The Baltimore Ravens have done significantly well this season, earning a place in the playoffs as the No.1 seed in the AFC. They are now scheduled to face the Kansas City Chiefs in the championship game. The Ravens QB Lamar Jackson will have a chance to seal his first AFC Championship.

Amid good performance from Jackson and the team’s defense, one thing is causing some concern among the fans, the performance of the team’s wide receivers. Especially the performance of the former Super Bowl-winning pass catcher Odell Beckham Jr. The AFC North champions added Beckham JR on a $18 million deal ahead of the 2023 season.

However, his performance did not reflect that spark throughout the season. He finished his season with 35 catches for 565 yards in 14 games. The performance did not match the expectations of the fans. It was nowhere close to the performance of the other wide receivers.

Though, Beckham Jr. had his reasons. The WR has been suffering from injuries for the past two years. This season, he had seemingly recovered from his injuries and showed the fittest version of him. Furthermore, the pass-catcher suffered a bit as he was out of touch for the last two seasons.

However, he recovered swiftly and registered 100-plus yards in a game almost after one and a half years. It garnered respect from the netizens.

The Baltimore Ravens need to provide some extra effort on the turf to beat the Kansas City Chiefs in the Championship game. Patrick Mahomes boasts a very good record in the playoffs, and if the Ravens have to beat the Chiefs, then Beckham JR. needs to put on his best efforts. The other wide receiver, Zay Flowers has done a bit better.

Despite problems, the Ravens WRs had some role in terms of supporting the quarterback Lamar Jackson. Especially the rookie wide receiver Zay Flowers. He led the chart in terms of receptions for the Baltimore-based football team. The rookie receiver registered 77 catches for 858 yards. In addition, the WR also registered five touchdowns.

The numbers suggest that Flowers had a better season than Odell Beckham Jr. The Ravens will have high hopes for him in the Championship Game. Last year, two of the main receivers of the Ravens combinedly registered 867 yards. This season, both of them combinedly registered nearly 1,500 yards.

That did not prevent the fans from displaying their agony over the performance of Odell Beckham Jr. Check out some of the comments they made.

Odell Beckham Jr. will look to change the narrative about him in the playoffs. He needs to have a big game on Sunday to help the Ravens defeat the defending AFC Champions Chiefs in a tough playoff game.
