The veteran quarterback Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys took on the Arizona Cardinals in their week 3 matchup on Sunday. Prescott and the Cowboys were favored to win the game by a big margin since the Cardinals were struggling a lot in their first 2 games without their star quarterback Kyler Murray. However, the Dallas-based football team ended up suffering a humiliating loss against the Cards in Arizona.
On Sunday, the Cowboys suffered a 16-28 loss against the Arizona-based football team despite entering the game as road favorites. Dak Prescott, the star quarterback of the Cowboys, completed 25 of his 40 pass attempts for 249 yards and 1 touchdown. However, Prescott threw an untimely interception in the endzone, which proved to be a costly mistake for the Cowboys.
The Cowboys’ star running back Tony Pollard had a huge game on Sunday as he carried the rock 23 times for 122 yards while averaging 5.3 yards per attempt. But he couldn’t help America’s team to outscore the Arizona Cardinals. The Cardinals defense managed to hold the Cowboys to just 16 points. They managed to sack Prescott two times and intercepted his pass once.
On the other hand, the Dallas’ defense led by their All-Pro linebacker Micah Parsons sacked the Cardinals quarterback Josh Dobbs twice, but they couldn’t force a turnover. There wasn’t much difference between the Cowboys and the Cardinals when it came to total yards in the game, but Dallas’ offense struggled to score in the endzone which led to them suffering a humiliating loss against Arizona.
Following the game, the former Pro Bowl quarterback Prescott called the loss “humbling” and said the media got what they wanted. Prescott’s statement was seen by some fans as the Cowboys QB failing to take accountability for the loss.
