“This is a bummer”, NFL World And Cincinnati Bengals fans REACT to Ja’Marr Chase’s excruciating injury update
Ja’Marr Chase is reportedly going to be away from the field for at least 4-6 weeks
In a major blow to Cincinnati Bengals‘ campaign this season, their Wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase has suffered a hip injury. As reported by ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the injury took place in the Week 7 game against the Atlanta Falcons, where the team managed to come out on top by a final score of 35-17.
Though the extent and duration of his recovery are not yet completely known, Chase will not be facing the Browns, that’s for sure. The injury may cause problems for the team in the next game, with Ja’Marr Chase possibly out for 4-6 weeks.
Chase was already battling the hip injury since Week 6 and was visibly uncomfortable on the field as well. But it looks like the injury got triggered more against the Atlanta Falcons last weekend and he’ll have to go spend some time in rehab now.
While the Twitter world is concerned for Ja’Marr Chase, the Bengals have to rise above this hurdle
Ja’Marr Chase has been phenomenal for Bengals right from his rookie year. His 1455 receiving yards in 2021 were a single-season Bengals record and the second-most ever by an NFL rookie. And this season, too, he has continued a successful run with five career 100-yard receiving games.
Even in Sunday’s win against the Atlanta Falcons, the 22-year-old had 130 yards and two touchdowns on eight receptions, which marked his second straight game with at least 100 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Chase has 605 receiving yards and six touchdowns on 47 receptions through seven games for the Bengals and 13 touchdowns last season as a rookie. Now with this untimely injury of one of their star player, Bengals camp will surely have to configure their offense strategy.
After Chase’s injury update, Twitter was bombed with various reactions from fans and admirers in the NFL. Here’s a look at some of the most notable reactions.
While the fans pray for Ja’Marr Chase‘s quick recovery, the Bengals are currently 4-3 on the season and have won four of their last five games. If Chase is out for the next four weeks, the earliest that he can return to action would be when the Bengals host the Kansas City Chiefs on December 5.
