On Thursday night, the New York Giants suffered a humiliating defeat at the hands of the defending NFC West champions San Francisco 49ers. During the game, there were some ugly scenes in the stands as a brawl broke out between the Giants fans and the Niners nation. At least two people were left bloody-faced In the heated incident.
According to multiple reports, several Giants and 49ers fans were involved in a massive brawl just minutes after the Thursday Night Football game between the NY Giants and the San Francisco-based football team. Fans at the Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California, started going against each other after the Niners defeated the G-Men.
The exact reason for the brawl is unknown, but a fan who witnessed the fight closely claimed that the fans had been trash-talking too much the entire game, and one of them threw a water bottle that landed on a woman. According to TMZ, the witness said that the massive brawl broke out as soon as the bottle landed on the woman.
In a short video that was shared on social media, two people could be seen beating up a 49ers fan, who was wearing a Joe Montana jersey. The Niners fan was seen bleeding from the nose as a result of the vicious attack. Just feet away, two New York supporters could be seen carving up a Niners fan, who started bleeding from his ear. The witness further claimed that all the people who were involved in the fight left the stands before authorities came to investigate the brawl. Nonetheless, the Santa Clara police department is currently investigating the incident. Besides, that is not the only fight from the Niners-Giants game. In the same game, the 49ers fans also fought among themselves, which led to NFL fans bashing the Niners faithful on social media.
NFL fan fights are becoming a repetitive trend among football fans
Football fans have a reputation for being a bit rowdy during the game. However, in the last few weeks, there have been a lot of fans who went a little overboard during NFL games. As a result, there have been several fan fights in football games recently.
