D’ Ante Robinson, the newly signed defensive linebacker for the Florida Gators is presently living his best life. The DL was in the middle of the high-school footballing season when he was handed over a college football career by Florida Gators, who suffered a frustrating season with just five wins and seven losses in the last season.
The Gators’ deal provided the player with a $111,000 valuation. The money helped the DL to buy a new house for his mother. On Valentine’s Day, the player presented a house to his mother.
As per a video clip shared by One3 Sports and the YouTube account of the player, the DL took his mother to the new house and surprised her by presenting the house keys. His mother was speechless after this surprise.
The DL is expected to provide the needed momentum to the Gators in the coming season. After a frustrating 2023 season, the team is trying to turn the table upside down and hence signed a decent defender. However, it is unsure whether the DL will start from the very beginning of the next season or he will be introduced later.
Nevertheless, the player revealed his excitement to be a part of the Florida team. According to Gators Online, Robinson stated,
Growing up, it was split sides of Florida and Florida State and my side was Florida so I’ve always been a Florida fan since I was little. All my life. I used to play receiver. I always thought about me playing at Florida.
D’Antre Robinson had a great high school performance
In his three seasons in Jones High School, the DL provided a stellar defensive performance. In the second season, he registered 89 tackles, and 9 sacks. In the senior year, he had a total of 79 tackles, 10 sacks, and an interception per MaxPreps. With all these stats on the board, he was called by the Texas Longhorns but later signed with the Florida Gators.
Speaking on his school project, the DL stated
That’s my dream school, first of all. That’s one of the biggest things. They’re recruiting me hard. I know if I can go there I can play. And I’m not too far from home — and I’m not too close.
The Gators’ fans are hoping a lot from the newly-signed DL. It is to be seen whether the player lives up to the hopes of the fans and the team management.
