Taylor Swift is arguably one of the most popular pop stars of this generation. At just 33 years old, she has gained immense prominence in the music industry. Since her debut in 2006, Swift has put out hits across a multitude of genres, such as pop music, indie folk, and rock, among others. Her achievements and accolades have piled up over the years and are a testament to her talent as a singer.
Taylor Swift has won 11 Grammys and has received nearly 42 nominations to date. That’s not all, more interestingly, she became the first woman to win the award for Album of the Year three times. Swift is admired by her massive fanbase for her soul-stirring lyrics and enthralling performances.

The pop star put out a song named 22 in her 2021 album Red. While this song talks about age and the feelings associated with it, one could speculate that maybe the pop star was referencing a popular NFL player in addition to the number. 22 is a number that is considered legendary amongst the fans of the Indianapolis Colts. Buddy Young was one of the greatest backs that played on the team, and his number is retired to honor his legacy. From this, it is possible to infer that Swift could be a Colts fan.
Over the years, she has been seen sporting the jerseys of numerous NFL teams, ranging from the New York Giants to the Seattle Seahawks to the New England Patriots. Taylor could possibly be a fan of multiple teams and admire more than one player in the NFL. Which is a distinct possibility. However, her latest confession clears the air regarding the topic of her favorite NFL team.
The answer to this question was there in front of fans all along! In one of her songs titled Gold Rush from the album Evermore, the pop star had a lyric titled ‘With my Eagles t-shirt hanging from the door.’ Fans initially thought that Taylor was making a reference to the popular band, Eagles while some believed that she was making a reference to the Philadelphia Eagles. It has since remained a topic of debate amongst fans.
Taylor cleared the air on this at her most recent concert by stating, “I saw some people wondering if it was the band the Eagles or the team the Eagles and I love the band the Eagles. But guys, come on. I’m from Philly. Of course, it’s the team.”
That clears it! The Philadelphia Eagles are the favorite NFL team of pop star Taylor Swift.
