Former Bears RB Tarik Cohen suffers MAJOR BLOW in his NFL comeback as he tears Achilles tendon on IG LIVE

Running back Tarik Cohen was a fourth round draft pick by the Chicago Bears in the 2017 NFL draft. He managed to play just three games in 2021 before suffering a devastating knee injury wherein he tore his knee ligaments keeping him out for the rest of the season. He was released by the Chicago Bears in March.
Slowly Tarik Cohen was starting his comeback journey to the NFL and doing recovery drills. However as luck would have in an unfortunate incident on Tuesday he suffered yet another setback.
Tarik Cohen injures himself on Instagram Live
Tarik Cohen was performing some training drills and was showing it to the fans on Instagram Live when the incident happened. He was backpedalling and suddenly fell down on the floor grabbing his leg.
An MRI report has been conducted on Tarik Cohen’s leg and it shows that he has a ruptured Achilles tendon. “An MRI today confirmed that RB Tarik Cohen, who hasn’t played in the NFL since he tore his ACL in Week 3 of the 2020 season, ruptured his Achilles while live streaming a training session on Instagram Live, per source,” reported Adam Schefter.
“Former #Bears RB Tarik Cohen, who was working his way back from injury for a comeback, tore his Achilles while working out today, source said following the MRI. A brutal reality,” reported Ian Rapoport.
It is really an unfortunate incident given that he was on his way to a comeback. Additionally being a free agent, it will be all the more difficult for him to re-start his recovery and find a way to get back to professional football.
