Foster Moreau was diagnosed with brutal Hodgkin’s Lymphoma in March. It is a type of cancer that affects the lymphatic system and forced the New Orleans Saints TE away from football. He stepped away from the sport to focus on his recovery.

Fortunately, Moreau is in complete remission and has conquered cancer. The Saints TE took to Twitter to share the great news and decided to make a massive comeback in the NFL.

“After a few tumultuous months, I’ve been blessed with the news that I am in full remission from Hodgkin Lymphoma! I’m so grateful to everyone who reached out to offer their love and support; our prayers were answered. From here I will continue to live my life as God intended. AMDG,” Foster Moreau wrote in his recent tweet.

Moreau had just signed a new $12 million deal with the Saints when he heard the bad news. However, he didn’t let cancer break his will. Instead, the 26-year-old fought against it and came out on top.

The Saints TE had already started to participate in the team’s activities in the month of May. However, in July, he was fully cleared for training and can resume his normal routine with extreme care.

Foster Moreau can turn out to be a huge asset for the Saints if he completes his recovery before the season starts. Although he is in remission, his treatment is still ongoing, and will have to show extra care.

The Saints signed Derek Carr as their starting QB after the Pro Bowler was ousted by the Las Vegas Raiders. This has worked in the favor of Foster Moreau, who is familiar with the playing style of Carr.

Moreau is a former Raiders TE who played with Carr for several seasons before making his way to New Orleans. With his familiarity with Carr, Moreau could find a prominent role in the offense and can develop sensational chemistry with the QB.

Foster Moreau will be entering his fifth season in the NFL. During that time, he has recorded 91 receptions for 1,107 yards and 12 touchdowns. However, this season could turn out to be massive for him due to the arrival of Derek Carr in New Orleans.
